Dudan's Dabble: Ahh... vacation begins...

Second grade ended on Friday May 28th and we packed our bags and headed to Florida. Well, first we headed to Greensboro to drop off Jimmy (the dog) with his favorite gal-pal Jewel! But THEN, we headed on to Florida. Traveling with three kids is a bit easier when they sleep through it so often times we'll travel thru the night. Mike and I take turns driving (because who else would!!) and the kids sleep okay! This was affirmed to us on the miserable trip home when the baby was not enjoying her car seat! (makes the drive seem so much longer!).

We arrived in Florida very early! We did this last year and the hotel we were staying at then (the Contemporary) got us into a room right away! This year, our luck wasn't so great! We arrived in Florida around 7 am after a night of little sleep for the parents and waited for our room to be ready! It wasn't ready til after lunch (ugh!). The first part of our Disney trip had us lodging at the Polynesian. This was our first time at the Poly. It was a nice resort and we love staying on the monorail with the baby! Makes for traveling to and from the parks so much easier! The kids loved the pools at the resort.

To pass our time waiting on our room to be ready, we hung out on the beachy area! We were there so early, no one was out and the temperature was perfect! We lounged in the hammocks and swings for a bit!
